Cauliflower Pakoda / Gobi Pakora
Cauliflower Pakoda /Gobi pakora is a deep fried crispy teatime snack made with cauliflower florets and gram flour batter.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Cauliflower Pakoda / Crispy Gobi Pakora.
Ingredients:-
Cauliflower/ Gobi.-1medium size
Red chilly powder.-1tsp
Gram flour/ besan.-3 /4 cup
Rice flour. -1tbsp
Water. -as needed
Salt. -to taste
Oil. -for frying
Method :
1). Separate the cauliflower florets and clean them in cold water mix with rock salt to remove the pesticides. Then put the cleaned cauliflower florets in boiling water and rest for 2 minutes. Switch off the flame and rinse the cauliflower florets under running water and keep aside to cool.
2). In a mixing bowl add 3/4 cup gram flour/ besan, 1tbsp rice flour, 1tsp red chilly powder and little salt. Add required water into the mixing bowl and mix all the ingredients in the mixing bowl and make a semi thick gram flour batter. Keep aside the gram flour batter.
3). Heat oil in a deep frying kadai. Once the oil is hot dip the cauliflower florets in gram flour batter and drop them into hot oil one by one and deep fry them in batches on medium flame until crisp and golden brown.
4). Remove the deep fried crispy cauliflower pakoda /gobi pakora from hot oil using a slotted spoon and transfer to a serving plate.
Cauliflower Pakoda / Crispy Gobi Pakora is ready to serve as a teatime snack.
