Bikkand Nonche Ambya Humman [Jackfruit Seeds and Salted Mango Spicy Curry]

Bikkand Nonche Ambya Humman is a Konkani style semi thick spicy Curry made with Jackfruit seeds and Salted Mango.The following ingredients are needed to prepare the recipe.

Ingredients:-

Jackfruit Seeds. -15
Salted Mango.    -1

Urad dal.             -1/2tsp
Mustard seeds.   -1tsp
Methi seeds.       -1/4 tsp
Hing powder.       -1tsp
Chilly flakes.        -1 and 1/2 tsp
Salt.                     -to taste
Coconut oil.          -2tsp



Instructions:-

Peel the outer white skin and soak the Jack fruit seeds in water overnight.Scrap the outer brown skin of the soaked seeds. Chop into lengthy pieces and keep aside.

Chop the salted Mango into small pieces and keep aside.




Method:-


Heat Coconut oil or any cooking oil in a pan on low flame.Add Urad dal and saute well.


Splutter Mustard seeds and Methi seeds and saute well.

Add Chilly flakes, Hing powder and the chopped Jackfruit Seed  lengthy pieces and mix well.


Add litte Salt and enough water to cover the seeds. Boil and cook till the chopped Jackfruit seeds become soft.

Add the chopped salted Mango pieces.Adjust Water to make a semi thick gravy. Mix well and cook again for 5 minutes and switch off the flame

A tasty Bikkand Nonche Ambya Humman is ready to serve as a side dish with Rice,Dosa,Idli etc.
