Mushroom Green Peas Salna.


Mushroom Green Peas Salna is a very tasty and delicious side dish for chapathi, parotta and naan.Mushroom Green Peas Salna recipe is given below with step by step photos.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Mushroom Green Peas Salna.

Ingredients:-

Button mushroom.-200g
Frozen Green peas.-1/4 cup
Onion.                    -2 medium
Green chilly.          -1
Curry leaves.         -1sprig
Tomato.                 -3
Turmeric powder. -1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder.-1tsp
Coriander powder.-1tsp
Cinnamon.            -1small
Cloves.                  -3
Cardamom.            -2
Fennel seeds.         -1/2 tsp
Bay leaf.                -1
Water.                    -as required
Salt.                       -to taste
Oil.                        -2 tbsp
Coriander leaves.  -few

For grinding Coconut Cashew Paste:-

Grated coconut.-1/4 cup
Cashew nuts.    -10
Green chillies.  -3
Fennel seeds.   -1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds.   -1/2 tsp

Instructions:-

1). Finely chop onion. Half slit green chillies. Blend tomatoes into puree. Finely chop few coriander leaves.Keep aside.

2). Grind grated coconut, cashew nuts, green chillies, cumin seeds and fennel seeds to a smooth paste adding little water. Transfer the ground paste to a bowl. Add 1 cup of water into the bowl and mix the ground coconut cashew mixture without lumps. Keep aside the coconut cashew mixture.

Method:-

1). Heat 2tbsp oil in a wide bottom pan. Add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, fennel seeds and curry leaves into the pan and saute well. Add half slit one green chilly and finely chopped onions into the pan and saute well till golden brown.

2). Add frozen green peas into the pan and saute well. Cover and cook green peas for few minutes on low flame.

3). Add tomato puree, red chilly powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder into the pan.Mix well and cook for 3 minutes on low flame.

4). Add chopped button mushroom into the pan.

5). Mix the mushroom pieces with spicy masala paste. Cover and cook chopped mushroom till soft.

6). Add ground coconut cashew paste into the pan and mix well.Add 1 or 2 cup of water into the pan and mix well as the gravy will thicken once it cools.

7). Once the gravy thickens stir well and add finely chopped coriander leaves into the pan and switch off the flame.

8). Mix the mushroom green peas masala gravy and transfer it to a serving bowl.
Mushroom Green Peas Salna is ready to serve hot with chapathi.
