CAULIFLOWER MASALA CURRY


Cauliflower Masala curry recipe is very simple and easy to make.It is very tasty and goes very well with Roti, Naan, plain steamed Rice and also with steamed Basmati Rice.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare this Cauliflower Masala Curry.

Ingredients.

Cauliflower           -1 medium size
Onion.                     -1 large
Tomato.                    -2 large size
Cashews.                 -8
Oil.                           -2tbsp
Bay leaf.                   -1
Cinnamon.               -1 inch stick
Cloves.                     - 3
Cardamom.               -3
Ginger Garlic Paste .-1tbsp
Turmeric powder.     
 - 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder.     -1tsp
Red chilly powder.     -1/2 tsp
Salt.                            -to taste
Kasuri methi.              -1tsp


Instructions:-


Take one medium size Cauliflower and seperate the Cauliflower florets.Clean and rinse them well under running Water.


Heat 2 cup Water with 1tsp Salt in a vessel and when the water starts boiling switch off the flame and soak the Cauliflower florets in hot Water in the vessel for 10 minutes.Then remove florets from hot Water and rinse them thoroughly under the running Water and keep aside to drain.

Chop 1 large Onion into big square pieces.Boil the chopped Onion and 8 Cashew nuts in 1cup Water for 2 minutes. Keep aside.

Finely chop 2 large Tomatoes and keep aside.

Grind the chopped Tomatoes along with boiled Onion and Cashew nuts in a blender to a smooth paste without adding Water. Keep aside.


Method:-

Heat 2tbsp Oil in a pan and add Bay leaf, Cinnamon stick, Cloves, Cardamom and fry well.

Add Ginger Garlic paste and saute well till the raw smell goes.

Add the Onion+Tomato+ Cashew Paste and saute well for 2 minutes.

Add Salt and mix well.

Add Chilly powder,Coriander powder and Garam masala powder. Saute well till the oil starts to leave the sides of the Masala paste.

Add the Cauliflower florets and saute well for 2 minutes.

Add 1cup water and mix well.

Cover the pan with a lid and cook on medium flame till the florets well cooked and the Water evaporates.

Saute well in between.

Lastly add the crushed Kasuri methi. Stir well and switch off the flame.

A tasty Cauliflower Masala Curry is ready to serve.

Serve the Cauliflower Masala Curry with plain Rice, Roti or with steamed Basmati Rice.
