Payasam is a sweet Jaggery dish and is known as Godda Paaysu in Konkani. Godda Paaysu is made with cooked Rice, crushed Jaggery, crushed Cardamom,Ghee and fresh Coconut grating. This Paayasam is used as an offering for God.The recipe is very simple, quick and easy to prepare. This age old Konkani recipe is learnt from my Mother and I prepare this Godda Paaysu every year on our family function and religious festivals.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare this Godda Paysu/ Sharkara Payasam.
