Mixed Flour Dosa is a tasty and delicious dosa made with Wheat flour, Rice flour, Maida and Sooji Rava adding crushed Black Pepper and seasoned with mustard seeds,Jeera,Shallots,Green chilly and Curry leaves and can be served with or without Chutney.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Mixed Flour Dosa with Shallots and Pepper.
Ingredients:-
Rava. -2cup
Wheat flour. -1/2 cup
Rice flour. -1/4 cup
Maida. -2tbsp
Salt. -to taste
Black Pepper. -10
For seasoning:-
Cooking oil. -2tsp
Mustard seeds. -1/2tsp
Jeera. -1tsp
Green chillies. -2
Shallots. -8
Curry leaves. -few
Salt. -a pinch
Instructions:-
In a vessel add sooji Rava and add 2 cup of Water and soak for 1/2 an hour.Remove the floating water from the soaked Rava and mash the soaked Rava with your hands without any lumps.
Add Wheat flour,Rice flour and Maida into the vessel and mix with the soaked and mashed Rava.
Add Salt and required Water and mix well all flours together with your hands without any lumps.
The consistency of the batter is a normal dosa batter.
Heat 2tsp Oil in a pan and splutter Mustard seeds and saute well.
Add Jeera, finely chopped Green chillies, finely chopped Shallots, a pinch of Salt and few chopped Curry leaves.Saute well and switch off the flame.
Add this seasoning in to the batter and mix well.
Add 10 crushed Black Pepper Corn into the dosa batter and mix well.
Method:-
Mix the dosa batter with a laddle. Heat a dosa tawa and spread little oil on the hot tawa.
Add a ladle full of batter and spread the batter on the tawa on medium flame and make thin dosas.Cover and cook the dosa,
When cooked on one side apply little oil on the top of the dosa and flip it over to the other side and cook without lid. When other side is cooked, flip again and remove the dosa from the tawa.Repeat the process with the remaing dosa batter.
A tasty Mixed Flour dosa adding Shallot and crushed Pepper is ready to eat with or without Chutney.
