Broccoli Stir Fry


Broccoli is a tasty vegetable, rich in nutrients. A tasty and delicious Broccoli Stir Fry is made with Broccoli florets, chopped Garlic, chopped dry Red chillies and Lemon juice.Broccoli Stir Fry goes well as a side dish with Rice, Roti etc.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Broccoli Stir Fry.

Ingredients:-

Broccoli.       -1big
Red chillies.  - 6
Garlic.           -7cloves
Lemon juice. -from a Lemon
Oil.                -3tsp
Salt.               -to taste.

Instructions:-

1. Seperate the florets of a big Broccoli.Clean and wash the florets in water.Keep the Broccoli florets in warm water and leave it for 2 minutes.Then drain water and keep aside the Broccoli florets.

2. Chop dry Red chillies into thin round pieces and keep aside.

3. Peel and finely chop Garlic and keep aside.

Method:-

1. Heat 3tsp oil in a kadai on low flame and add the finely chopped Garlic and saute well till the aroma comes out.

2. Add the thinly chopped dry Red chillies and fry in oil on low flame. Saute well.

3. Add the Broccoli florets and fry in oil for a minute.

4. Add required Salt and mix well.

5. Sprinkle very little water to cook the Broccoli florets.Cover and cook for 2 minutes on low flame.

6. Do not over cook the Broccoli.But it should be tender. It will take only 2 minutes to cook the Broccoli. Stir in between and switch off the flame.



7. Sprinkle Lemon juice over the Broccoli stir fry in the kadai and mix well.



8. Transfer the Broccoli Stir Fry to a serving pate.



A tasty and delicious Broccoli Stir Fry is ready to serve as a side dish with Rice, Roti etc.
