Banana Dosa


Banana Dosa / Banana Pancake is made by using all purpose flour (Maida), ripe Robusta banana, Sugar, Salt and Cardamom powder.Banana dosa / Banana Pancake is made as a breakfast dish or evening snack.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Banana dosa / Banana Pancake.

Ingredients:-

Robusta Banana.                - 1(ripe)
All purpose flour (Maida). -1 cup
Sugar.                                  -1/4cup
Salt.                                     - a pinch
Cardamom pod                   -2
Ghee.                                   - for roasting

Instructions:-

Peel the Cardamom pods.Crush the seeds and keep aside the Cardamom powder.

Peel the skin and mash the banana thoroughly with a masher or with hand and keep aside.

Method:-

In a mixing bowl add the Maida flour, mashed Banana, Sugar, Salt and Cardamom powder. Add little water and mix all the ingredients in the mixing bowl without any lumps. The consistency of the dosa batter should be semi thick.

Heat a non stick tawa on medium flame and grease little Ghee on it.

Take a laddle full of batter and spread it evenly on the hot tawa as thin as possible.

Cover and cook the dosa for 2 minute on low flame.

Open the lid and spread little Ghee over the dosa.

When base of the dosa is cooked, flip it with a flat spatula and roast the other side. Cover and cook for 3 minutes on low flame.

Remove the roasted dosa from hot tawa to a serving plate.

Repeat the process and make thin Banana dosas.

Tasty and delicious Banana Dosa /Banana Pancakes are ready to serve as a breakfast or evening snack.
