Ghee Mysore Pak is a delicious and popular sweet dish in south India.Ghee Mysore Pak is made using ghee, gram flour (besan) and sugar. This soft, sweet and melt in mouth Ghee Mysore Pak recipe is one of easiest to make with easily available ingredients.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Ghee Mysore Pak.

Ingredients:-

Ghee.          - 1 and 1/2 cup + 1tsp
Gram flour. -1 cup
Sugar.          -1 cup
Water.          -1/4cup

Instructions:-

Add 1tsp Ghee in a pan and dry roast Gram flour on medium flame until raw smell of the Gram flour goes away. (about 3 minutes).Once done remove from flame and keep aside.

Greas a tray with Ghee and keep aside.

Melt 1 and 1/2 cup of Ghee in the pan. Once the Ghee is melted transfer 1/2 cup of Ghee to another vessel and set aside. Switch off the flame.

Add roasted Gram flour to the remaining 1 cup of Ghee in the pan and mix well. So that there are no lumps.

In a vessel add 1cup Sugar and 1/4 cup of water and boil well until you get a single string consistency around 4 minutes on medium to high flame. (when you keep the sugar syrup between your fingers there should be only one string that's forming).

Method:-

Add the Sugar syrup to the Ghee and Gram flour mixture in the pan and keep the flame on medium heat. Keep on stirring. So that the lumps are not formed. The mixture will begin to thicken.

Add 1/2 cup of Ghee (which we separated to another vessel earlier) to this mixture little by little until all of the Ghee is incorporated in the mixture.Switch off the flame.

Transfer to a greased tray and let it cool. After 5 minutes give marks or desired shapes for Mysore Pak.

Once it is cooled completely remove from greased pan. Now yummy, soft, sweet and melt in mouth Ghee Mysore Pak is ready to serve.
