Beetroot Potato Masala Curry.


Beetroot Potato Masala Curry is a tasty and delicious side dish goes well with chapathi, rice etc.A simple and easy to make recipe and step by step method with photos.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Beetroot Potato Masala Curry.

Ingredients:-

Beetroot.                     -1 big
Potato.                         -1medium size
Onion.                          -1medium size
Green chilly.                 -1

Red chilly powder.        -2tsp
Coriander powder.        -1tsp
Turmeric powder.          -1/4tsp

Garam masala powder.-1/2tsp
Mustard seeds.             -1tsp
Curry leaves.                 -1spring
Coconut oil.                   -2tsp
Salt.                               -to taste.


Instructions:-

1. Peel the skin, wash and grate the Beetroot using a grater and keep aside.

2. Peel, wash and chop Potato into 1/2 inch lengthy small pieces and keep aside.

3.Peel, wash and roughly chop Onion.Wash and half slit Green chilly length wise. Keep aside.

Method:-

1. Heat Coconut oil in a pan and splutter Mustard seeds and saute well.Add half slit Green chilly and Curry Curry leaves into the pan and fry well.Add the roughly chopped Onion pieces and saute well till the Onion pieces become translucent.

2.Add Red chilly powder, Coriander powder, Turmeric powder and Garam masala powder into the pan and mix well.


3.  Add chopped Potato pieces into the pan and saute well.

4. Add little water and required Salt and mix well. Cover and cook the Potatoes until soft.

5. Add the grated Beetroot and mix well with the cooked Potatoes. Add little water, cover and cook the grated Beetroot till soft. Saute in between.

6. When the water in the pan completely evaporates switch off the flame.


7. Transfer the Beetroot Potato Masala Curry to a serving plate.

A tasty and delicious Beetroot Potato Masala Curry is ready to serve hot with chapathi, rice etc.
