Maskat is a Konkani style Pizza shaped sweet snack. Godda Maskat also known as Godsaniche Kelya Maskat / Sweet Maskat is a delicious tea time sweet snack prepared with ripe small Bananas, Wheat flour, Jaggery, Coconut and Cardamom.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Godsaniche Kelya Maskat /Godda Maskat /Sweet Maskat.
Ingredients:-
Wheat flour. - 2 cup
Small ripe Banana. - 3 or 4
Jaggery. -1cup grated
Grated Coconut. -1/4 cup
Cardamom. - 4
Salt. - a pinch
Ghee. - to roast
Instructions:-
Grate Jaggery with a kitchen knife and keep aside.
Peel and crush the Cardamom and keep aside.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Godsaniche Kelya Maskat /Godda Maskat /Sweet Maskat.
Ingredients:-
Wheat flour. - 2 cup
Small ripe Banana. - 3 or 4
Jaggery. -1cup grated
Grated Coconut. -1/4 cup
Cardamom. - 4
Salt. - a pinch
Ghee. - to roast
Instructions:-
Grate Jaggery with a kitchen knife and keep aside.
Peel and crush the Cardamom and keep aside.
Peel small ripe Bananas and keep aside.
Method:-
In a wide bowl add grated Jaggery and crush the Jaggery with small ripe Bananas using your hands.
Add Wheat flour, grated Coconut, a pinch of Salt and crushed Cardamom into the bowl and mix with the crushed Jaggery banana mixture.
Mix together all the ingredients in the bowl. Add required water little by little and knead the mixture to make a semi solid sticky dough.Keep aside the dough.
Method:-
Heat a tawa on medium flame and smear little Ghee on the tawa.
Wet your hands and place the sticky and solid dough on the tawa and spread it to form a thick round dosa like shape.
Cover and cook the Maskat on medium flame.
When the bottom side is cooked well, add little Ghee around the sides and flip it to cook the other side on medium flame.
When both sides are cooked well remove the Maskat from hot tawa with a flat spatula.
Transfer the Ghee roasted Maskat to a serving plate.
Prepare the sweet Maskat with the remaing dough and keep aside.
A very tasty, sweet and delicious Godsaniche Kelya Maskat / Godda Maskat is ready to serve as a tea time snack.
