Banana Stem Peanut Masala Fry.


Banana Stem Peanut Masala Fry is a tasty side dish goes well with rice or chapathi. A very easy to make Banana Stem Peanut Masala Fry recipe with step by step method and photo is given below.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Banana Stem Peanut Masala Fry.

Ingredients:-

Banana stem.        - 3 cup chopped
Turmeric powder. -1/2tsp
Lime juice.            -2tsp
Jaggery.                 - a gooseberry size
Salt.                       -to taste

For grinding the Peanut Masala:-

Peanut.                -3 tbsp
Chana dal.           -2 tsp
Dry Red chillies. -8
Curry leaves.       -2spring

For Seasoning:-

Coconut oil.     - 4tsp
Mustard seeds. -1tsp
Chana dal.        -1tsp
Urad dal.           -1tsp
Cumin seeds.     -1tsp
Hing powder.     -1/2tsp

Instructions:-

Banana Stem

1). Wash and chop Banana stem into thin round pieces.Finely chop the Banana stem thin round pieces. Pressure cook the finely chopped Banana stem adding Turmeric powder, Jaggery, Lemon juice, 1 and 1/2 cup of water and little Salt for 2 whistles. Keep aside.

2). Heat a pan and dry roast Peanuts and keep aside. In the same pan dry roast Chana dal. When Chana dal change its colour add dry Red chillies and Curry leaves and dry roast well. Allow the dry roasted ingredients to cool. 

3). Grind all the dry roasted ingredients together to a fine powder. Keep aside the ground Peanut Masala powder.

Method:-

1). Heat Coconut oil in a pan and add Urad dal and Chana dal. Saute well. Splutter Mustard seeds and Cumin seeds. Saute well. Add Hing powder and mix well.

2). Add cooked Banana stem into the cooking pan and mix well.

3). Add the ground Peanut Masala powder into the cooking pan and mix well.

4). Saute well till the cooked Banana stem nicely coated with the ground Peanut Masala powder and the water 
is completely absorbed. Switch of the flame.

5) Transfer the Banana Stem Peanut Masala Fry to a serving plate.

A tasty and delicious Banana stem Peanut Masala Fry is ready to serve as a side dish with rice  or chapathi.
