Banana Stem Pepper Stir Fry


Banana stem Pepper stir fry is a delicious side dish made with Banana stem adding coarsely crushed Black Pepper and Green chillies goes well with rice.

 The following ingredients are needed to prepare Banana Stem Pepper Stir Fry.

Ingredients:-

Banana stem.        -3 cups chopped
Green chilly.         -2
Black pepper.       -1tsp
Coconut oil.         -1tbsp
Mustard seeds.     -1tsp
Urad dal.              -1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder. -1/4tsp
Curry leaves.        -1 spring
Salt.                      - to taste

Instructions:-

1). Wash and chop Banana stem into thin round slices.Finely chop the Banana stem round slices. Pressure cook the finely chopped Banana stem adding Salt for 1 whistle without adding water. Keep aside.




2). Wash and chop Green chillies into thin round pieces and keep aside.

3). Coarsely crush the Black pepper and keep side.

Method:-

1). Heat Coconut oil in a pan. Add Urad dal and saute well.Splutter Mustard seeds and saute well. Add thinly chopped Green chilly roundels and fry well. Add coarsely crushed Black pepper, Curry leaves and Turmeric powder and saute well for 2 minutes on low flame. 


2). Add the cooked Banana stem pieces into the pan and mix well.

3). Saute well all the ingredients in the pan till the water has been completely evaporated. Switch off the flame.


4).Transfer the Banana stem Pepper stir fry to a serving plate.

A tasty Banana Stem Pepper Stir Fry is ready to served as a side dish with rice.
