Kele Phodi (Raw Banana Tawa Fry) - Konkani Recipe.

Kele phodi is a Konkani style tawa roasted spicy raw banana slices goes well as a side dish with meal.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Kele Phodi / Raw Banana Tawa Fry.

Ingredients:-

Raw Banana.          -3
Red chilly powder. -2 tbsp
Turmeric powder.   -1/4tsp
Hing powder.          -1/4tsp
Salt.                         - to taste
Rice powder.           -2tsp
Coconut oil.            - for roasting

Instructions:-

1). Take 3 raw bananas.

 2). Chop both the ends and peel the skin of raw bananas 
and chop into thin round slices and keep aside.


3). In a bowl add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, hing powder and little salt and mix well.

 43). Sprinkle the spice mixture over the banana slices and mix well till the spice powders nicely coated with the banana slices.Keep aside the banana slices to marinate for 10 to 15  minutes.

Method:-

1). Sprinkle rice power over the marinated raw banana slices and mix well using hands.Heat a tawa on medium flame and apply little oil on the tawa. Place the rice flour and spice powder coated raw banana slices one by one on hot tawa and roast the slices on low flame till crisp.When one side of the banana slices are roasted well, apply little oil on all around the sides and on the banana slices.


2). Turn the banana slices with a flat spatula to roast 
the other side.Roast the banana slices on low flame till crisp.

3). When both sides are roasted well remove the kele phodi / tawa roasted banana slices to a serving plate.

Kele Phodi / Raw Banana Tawa Fry are ready to serve as a side dish with meal.
