Guava Jam


Guava jam is a delicious homemade fruit jam made with ripe guava.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Guava Jam.

Ingredients:-

Ripe Guava.                     - 3 big
Sugar.                                - 3/4 cup
Cloves.                              - 2
Ghee.                                 - 1tsp
Citric acid or lemon juice. - 1/2 tsp

Instructions:-

Wash guava and pat dry with a clean cloth and chop into slices.Chop and remove the seeds from guava slices.

Method:-

1). Boil guava slices in a pan adding little water and 2 cloves until soft. Switch off the flame and remove the cloves. Keep aside the boiled guava slices with boiled water to cool.

2). Grind the boiled guava slices along with boiled water into a smooth paste.

3). In a wide bottom pan add the ground guava paste.

4). Add sugar and 1/2 tsp citric acid or lemon juice into the pan and mix with the guava paste and boil on low flame.

5). Add 1tsp ghee into the pan and stir the mixture continuously without lumps till the mixture becomes thick .

6). Switch off the flame and transfer the jam to a bowl and allow to cool.Once cooled store the guava jam in a clean and dry glass bottle and close the bottle with lid.

Homemade Guava Jam is ready to spread on bread slices.
