Instant Crispy Tomato Dosa


 Instant tomato dosa is a crispy dosa made with ripe tomatoes and mixed flours and goes well with spicy chutney. Instant Crispy Tomato Dosa recipe is given below with step by step photos.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Instant Crispy Tomato Dosa.

Ingredients:-

Rice flour.                       -1 cup
Rava /semolina.              -1 cup
Wheat flour.                    -1/2cup
Maida /all purpose flour. -1/2cup
Tomato.                           -3
Dry Red chillies.             -3
Green chilly.                   -1
Onion.                             -1
Black pepper crushed.    -1/2tsp
Cumin seeds.                  -1spoon
Curry leaves.                  -1sprig
Salt.                                 -to taste.
Coriander leaves.            -few
Oil.                                  -as required


Instructions:-

1). Finely chop onion. Chop green chilly into very thin round pieces. Finely chop curry leaves. Finely chop few coriander leaves and keep aside.

2). Soak dry red chillies in hot water for 30 minutes. Drain water and grind the soaked red chillies and chopped tomatoes to a smooth paste without adding water. Keep aside the ground tomato red chilly paste.

Method:-

1). In a vessel add rice flour, rava, maida and wheat flour and mix well. Add finely chopped onion, cumin seeds and crushed black pepper into the vessel.


2). Add ground tomato red chilly paste and 1tsp salt into the vessel and mix well.

3). Add 3 cup of water into the vessel and mix all the ingredients in the vessel using your hands.

 4). Add finely chopped green chilly pieces and finely chopped curry leaves into the vessel.
 
5). Add finely chopped coriander leaves into the batter,

6).  Mix again all the ingredients and keep aside the batter mixture to rest for 30 minutes or till the rava soaked in water.Then add little water into the batter and make a thin batter of flowing consistency.No need to ferment the batter.

7). Heat a non stick dosa tawa on medium flame. Take a ladle of thin batter. Pour the thin batter on hot tawa little by little in a circular motion starting from edges till the centre of hot tawa and make a thin round dosa with holes. (Don't spread dosa on tawa with the back of the ladle).

 

8). Pour little oil over the dosa. Cover and cook on low flame until dosa turns crisp and golden colour.

9). Open the lid and apply little oil all over the dosa. Flip the dosa with a flat spatula to roast the other side.

10). Fold the well roasted dosa on one side and remove from hot tawa and transfer to a serving plate.

 

 Make crispy tomato dosa with the remaining batter.Instant Crispy Tomato Dosa is ready to serve with spicy chutney
