Tender Jackfruit Stir Fry
Tender jackfruit stir fry is a very tasty and easy to make simple side dish made with very tender jackfruit pieces and crushed garlic goes well with rice and rasam.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Tender Jackfruit Stir Fry.
Ingredients:-
Tender Jackfruit. - a small one
Dry Red chillies. -2
Garlic crushed. -5
Curry leaves. -1 spring
Mustard seeds. -1tsp
Salt. -to taste
Coconut oil. -1tsp
Instructions:-
1). Grease a sharp kitchen kinfe with coconut oil. Cut and remove the outer thorny skin of a tender jackfruit. Chop the tender jackfruit into small lengthy pieces.
2). Apply a pinch of salt to the chopped tender jackfruit pieces and keep them on a plate. Steam cook the tender jackfruit pieces in a steamer for few minutes or till soft and keep aside.
3). Peel and crush garlic and keep aside.
4). Broke the dry red chillies into halves and keep aside.
Method:-
1). Heat coconut oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and saute well.
2). Add crushed garlic cloves into the pan and saute well in oil.
3). Add broken dry red chilly halves and curry leaves into the pan and saute well.
4). Add steam cooked tender jackfruit pieces and little salt into the pan and mix well.Cover and cook for few minutes on low flame and switch off the flame.
5). Transfer the tender jackfruit stir fry to a serving plate.
Very tasty Jackfruit Stir Fry is ready to serve hot.
