Radish carrot potato masala curry is a radish masala curry and a semi thick gravy dish made with radish, carrot, potato, onion, tomato and spices goes well with chapati, phulkas, paratha, or rice.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Radish Carrot Potato Masala Curry.
Ingredients:-
Radish. -2
Potato. -2
Carrot. -1
Onion. -2
Tomato. -2
Red chilli powder. -1tsp
Turmeric powder. -1/4 tsp
Coriander powder. -1tsp
Garam masala. -1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds. -1tsp
Cumin seeds. -1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste.-1tsp
Salt. -to taste
Oil. -1tbsp
Instructions:-
1). Scrap and remove the outer skin of radish, potato and carrot and wash them in water. Chop the radish into thin round pieces. Chop potato into medium cubed pieces. Chop carrot into thin lengthy pieces. Finely chop onion and tomato. Keep aside.
2). Pressure cook the chopped radish, potato and carrot pieces adding a pinch of salt and enough water for 3whistles. Drain the cooked water and keep the pressure cooked radish, potato and carrot pieces on a plate.
Method:-
1). Heat 1tbsp oil in a wide bottom pan and splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Add ginger garlic paste and saute well in oil. Add finely chopped onion and required salt into the pan and saute well till onion becomes translucent.
2). Add finely chopped tomatoes and 1/4 cup of water into the pan and mix well. Boil and cook till tomato pieces become soft and mushy.
3). Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala into the pan and saute well.
4). Add pressure cooked radish pieces, potato pieces and carrot pieces into the pan and mix well.
5).
Add 1/2 cup of water into the pan and make the curry to a semi thick
gravy consistency. Boil the spicy masala curry for 2 minutes on low flame. Stir in
between and switch off the flame.
Radish Carrot Potato Masala Curry is ready to serve hot.
