Shelled edamame are green young soybeans removed from their pods before they ripen.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Shelled Edamame Onion Stir Fry / Shelled Green Soybeans Onion Stir Fry.
Ingredients:
Shelled Edamame.-1 cup
Onion. -1big
Garlic cloves. -4
Ginger chopped. -2 tsp
Red chilly powder.-2 tsp
Mustard seeds. -1 tsp
Lime juice. -1/2 of a lime
Salt. - to taste
Oil. -2 tbsp
Turmeric powder. -1/4 tsp
Instructions:-
1). In a vessel add shelled edamame in enough water with little salt.
2). Boil the shelled edamame on medium flame for 5 minutes or till tender.
3). Drain boiled water completely from edamame and keep aside the boiled shelled edamame.
Method:
1).
Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add finely chopped ginger
and saute well. Add finely chopped garlic cloves and saute well. Add
finely chopped onion and required salt into the pan and saute well.
2). Add red chilly powder and turmeric powder into the pan and mix well.
3). Add the boiled shelled edamame into the pan.
4). Mix the boiled edamame with onion ginger garlic spice mixture.
5). Cover the pan with a lid and cook the boiled edamame for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
6). Open the lid and add lime juice into the pan.
7). Mix everything till combined and switch off the flame.
8). Transfer the shelled edamame onion stir fry to a serving bowl.
Very tasty and healthy Shelled Edamam Onion Stir Fry/ Green Soybean Onion Stir Fry is ready to serve with rice, chapati or paratha.
