In violet Cabbage iron contents and vitamins are more than in normal Cabbage.The taste of violet Cabbage stir fry is completely different from normal Cabbage.The recipe is simple and easy to make with little ingredients.
Violet Cabbage |
Ingredients:-
Violet Cabbage. - a small
Shallots. -8
Cooiking oil -1tsp
Green chilly. -2
Salt. -to taste
Instructions:-
Clean and seperate the leaves from a small Cabbage and chop and remove the middle portion of the Cabbage leaves. Wash the leaves well and finely chop and keep aside or you can finely chop the small Cabbage ,wash and keep aside.
Wash and half slit Green chillies lengthwise and keep aside.
Peel the shallots and chop into medium thin roundels and keep aside.
Method:-
Heat cooking oil in a pan and splutter Mustard seeds and saute well.
Add half slit Green chillies and fry in oil for a second.
Add finely chopped Shallots and saute well till the shallot become translucent and little reddish in colour.
Add finely chopped violet Cabbage and stir well without adding Water.
Add Salt and mix well.
Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low flame till the Cabbage pieces cooked well and have little crunchy.
Stir in between. Then switch off the flame.
A tasty little crunchyViolet Cabbage & Shallots Stir fry is ready to serve hot as a side dish with Rice.
