Ingredients:-
Wheat flour. - 4 cup
Salt. -1 tsp
Ghee or Oil. -3 tsp
Water. - 2 cup (hot boiled)
Instruction:-
Sieve 4 cup Wheat flour and keep aside in a wide mixing bowl..
Boil 2 cup Water in a small vessel and keep aside.
Method:-
Transfer the seived Wheat flour in a wide mixing bowl.
Add 1tsp Salt and 2 tsp Oil or Ghee and mix well.
Add 2 cup boiled hot Water slowly and little by little over the Wheat flour and mix the Wheat flour, Salt, Ghee and Water using a spoon.
When little cool knead the dough well using your hands and make it a soft dough.Apply little Ghee over the kneaded dough and knead again for 2 minutes and keep aside.Kneading makes the Chapathi more soft and tasty.
For kneading the dough to make it soft:-
Keep the Wheat flour dough in the wide mixing bowl and flatten it with your hands by pressing the dough. Roll the flatten dough like a cylinder shape and then fold the cylinder shaped dough. Again flatten the folded dough by pressing with your palm and again roll and fold and repeat the process till soft.If the dough stick to your hands apply little oil or Ghee on the dough and knead it.
Then divide the kneaded soft dough into small lemon size dough balls.
Place one lemon size dough ball on the Chapathi board and dust it with little Wheat flour and roll into round disc with a rolling pin, thin and even on all sides.Make maximum big thin disc by dipping each time in the Wheat flour.
To make the rolled dough big and thin round shape, roll on all side edges with the rolling pin and then roll on the middle to make it thin and round shape.
Heat a tawa and put the rolled round dough on the hot tawa and roast on both sides in low flame.
Press the side edges and middle of the flatten dough with a flat spatula or with a clean Kitchen Kerchief to puff up. When the bubble appears flip it to cook the other side.Flip it again and remove from tawa.
Do not over roast.Just flip it twice to get a soft Chapathi. Other wise it will become hard.
Add little Ghee over the Chapathi when you flip on other side.(optional)
Serve the Chapathi with hot Potato Curry.
Try and enjoy the Soft Chapathi.
