Sweet Potato is called Chinnikanang in Kochi Konkani.Chinnikanga Pathal Baluk is a Kochi GSB Konkani style delicious and crispy deep fried Sweet Potato chips served as an evening snack with hot Tea or Coffee.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare this delicious Sweet Potato chips.
Ingredients:-
Sweet potato. -1big size
Salt. -to taste
Oil. -for deep frying.
Instructions:-
Deskin and wash the Sweet Potato in water and.pat dry with a clean cloth.
Slice the Sweet potato with a slicer into thin roundels and keep aside.

In a small bowl add 1tsp Salt and 2tbsp water and mix well and keep aside the Salt solution.
Method:-
Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium flame.
When the oil is hot put the sliced Sweet Potato round slices into the hot oil and deep fry well.
When the slices became little crispy, add 1/2 tsp of prepared Salt solution and fry the slices untill becomes golden brown and crispy.
Remove from hot oil with a deep frying spatula and transfer to a serving plate.
A tasty, crispy and delicious Chinnikanga Pathal Baluk / Sweet Potato chips are ready to serve as a evening snack with a cup of hot Tea or Coffee.
