Moong Dal Dosa (Pesarattu) /Mugga Dali polo.

Moong dal dosa is called Mugga dali polo in Konkani and it is also known as Pesarattu.Mugga dali Polo is a healthy dosa made with yellow split Moong dal mixed with Green chilly, Ginger and Cumin seeds.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Mugga Dali Polo (Pesarattu)

Ingredients:-

Moong dal.     - 1 cup
Green chillies. -2
Ginger.            - a small piece
Cumin seeds.  -1tsp
Onion.             -1 small
Oil                   -1 tsp

Instructions:-
Peel,wash and finely chop Onion and keep aside.

Heat oil in a small pan and add finely chopped Onion and fry well. Keep aside.

Peel, wash and finely chop Ginger and keep aside.

Wash and slit Green chillies and keep aside.

Wash and soak yellow Moong dal in Water for 5 hours.

Drain the soaked Water and grind the soaked Moong dal with chopped Ginger and slit Green chillies to a smooth and semi thick batter.Do not add more water after grinding the batter.

Add Salt and Cumin seeds to the batter and mix well.

Method:-

Heat a dosa tawa on medium heat.Sprinkle little water on the tawa and when the water evaporates spread little oil  on the tawa.

Pour a laddle full of batter and spread it on the tawa to make thin dosa.

When little cooked add the fried Onion and press it on the dosa with a flat spatula.

Sprinkle little ghee on all sides of the dosa and flip the dosa to cook the other side .

When both sides cooked flip again and fold the dosa and remove from heat with a flat spatula.

Serve the healthy Moong dal dosa hot with Chutney.
