Dosa is called Polo in Kochi Konkani.Cabbage Polo is a Kochi GSB konkani style spicy dosa made by using chopped Cabbage mixed with the ground masala batter of Rice,Coconut grating,dry Red chillies,Turmeric powder,little Tamarind and Salt.Cabbage polo is a very famous konkani dish.Left over batter can be stored in the refrigerator.No fermentaion needed for Cabbage dosa batter and can prepare dosa immediately.No side dish is needed for Cabbage dosa.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Cabbage Dosa.
Ingredients:-
Cabbage chopped. -2 cup
Hing powder. - 1/2 tsp
Salt. -to taste
Coconut oil. -2 tbsp
For grinding the Dosa batter:-
Raw Rice. - 2 cup
Coconut grating. - 1/2 of a Coconut
Dry Red chillies. - 8
Turmeric powder. -1/4 tsp
Tamarind. - a gooseberry size
Instructions:-
1. Wash and finely chop Cabbage and keep aside.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Cabbage Dosa.

Instructions:-
1. Wash and finely chop Cabbage and keep aside.
2. Wash and soak Raw Rice in water for 2 hours.Freshly grate Coconut and keep aside.
3. Grind the soaked Raw Rice with grated Coconut, dry Red chillies,Turmeric powder and Tamarind to a smooth paste.Transfer the ground batter to a vessel.Add Salt and Hing powder to the ground batter and mix well.
4.The batter should be semi thick of pouring consistency. No need to ferment the batter and can make Cabbage dosa thick or thin immediately.
5. Add finely chopped Cabbage to the batter and mix well.
Method:-
1.Heat a dosa tawa on medium heat and spread little Coconut oil on the tawa.
2. Pour a ladle full of batter and spread it evenly over the dosa tawa and make medium thin or thick dosa.
3. Cover the dosa with a lid and cook on low flame for 5 minutes or till the base is cooked well.
8. Kochi GSB konkani style well roasted Cabbage dosa is ready to serve hot as it is or with little Coconut Oil.

9.You can make thin Cabbage dosa by spreading the batter on the tawa and roast and cook well.

10. Make Cabbage dosas with the remaining batter.Or left over batter can be stored in the refrigerator for further use.
