Kuvale Karambi is a very tasty and delicious Ash gourd Salad. The following ingredients are needed to prepare Ash gourd Salad.
Ingredients:-
Ash gourd. -1cup( chopped)
Green chilly. -1small
Ginger. - a small piece
Black pepper. - 1/2tsp
Salt. - to taste
Lemon juice -1/2 of a fresh lemon
For Seasoning:-
Oil. -1tsp
Mustard seeds. -1/2tsp
Curry leaves. -1spring
Ingredients:-
Ash gourd. -1cup( chopped)
Green chilly. -1small
Ginger. - a small piece
Black pepper. - 1/2tsp
Salt. - to taste

Oil. -1tsp
Mustard seeds. -1/2tsp
Curry leaves. -1spring
Instructions:-
Peel the outer skin and remove the seeds of a small Ash gourd piece.Wash and chop into small pieces and keep aside.
Peel the outer skin of a small Ginger piece. Wash and finely chop the Ginger pieces.Keep aside.
Wash and finely chop a small Green chilly and keep aside.
Crush Black pepper and keep aside.
Method:-
1. In a mixing bowl add the finely chopped Green chillies, chopped Ginger and Salt. Mix all the three ingredients thoroughly with your hands.
2. Add the chopped Ash gourd pieces and mix well using a spoon.
3. Squeeze half of a fresh lemon over the mixture in the mixing bowl and mix well.
4.Lastly add crushed Pepper powder and mix well.
5. Heat oil in a small pan for seasoning.Splutter Mustard seeds and saute well.Add Curry leaves and fry for a second and switch off the flame.Add the seasoning over the Kuvale Karambi/ Ash gourd Salad in the mixing bowl and mix well.
6. A tasty and delicious Kuvale Karambi / Ash gourd Salad is ready to serve as a side dish.
