Split Chickpea / Chana dal is called Chonya Dali in Konkani.Chonya Dali Humman is a easy Chickpea Curry goes well with Rice, Puttu, etc.The following ingredients are needed to prepare Chonya Dali Humman.
Ingredients:-
Chana dal. -1cup
Dry Red Chilly. - 2
Mustard seeds. -1 tsp
Cooking oil. -2tsp
Curry leaves. -1spring
Hing Powder. -1/2tsp
Salt. - to taste

Instructions:-
Wash and soak Chana dal for 8 hours or overnight.
Pressure cook the soaked Chana dal adding 2 cup of water for 3 whistles or till soft and keep aside.
Broke the dry Red Chillies into halves and keep aside.
Method:-
Heat Oil in a pan and splutter Mustard seeds and saute well.
Add broken Red chillies and Curry leaves and fry well in oil.
Add the cooked Chana dal along with Water and stir well.
Add Hing powder and required Salt and mix well.Boil for 5 minutes and switch off the flame.
A tasty Chonya Dali Humman /Chana Dal Curry is ready to serve with Rice, Puttu, Rontosa etc.
