Kidney Beans Curry is a very tasty Rajma Masala Curry goes well with hot steamed Rice, Chapathi, Phulkas, Roti etc.The following ingredients are needed to prepare Kidney Beans Curry.
Ingredients:-
Kidney Beans. -1cup
Cumin seeds. -1/2tsp
Curry leaves. -1spring
Onion. -1big
Ginger. - a small piece
Garlic. -2 or3
Green chilly sauce. -1tsp
Tomato sauce. -1tbsp
Coriander powder. -2tsp
Red chilly powder. -1tsp
Turmeric powder. -1/4tsp
Garam Masala powder. -1tsp
Kasuri methi. -1tsp
Ingredients:-
Kidney Beans. -1cup
Cumin seeds. -1/2tsp
Curry leaves. -1spring
Onion. -1big
Ginger. - a small piece
Garlic. -2 or3
Green chilly sauce. -1tsp
Tomato sauce. -1tbsp
Coriander powder. -2tsp
Red chilly powder. -1tsp
Turmeric powder. -1/4tsp
Garam Masala powder. -1tsp
Kasuri methi. -1tsp
Salt. -to taste
Butter. -1tbsp
Oil. -1tsp
Instructions:-
Wash and soak Kidney beans for 8 hours or overnight in water.
Discard the soaked water and pressure cook the soaked Kidney beans adding required Water for 30 minutes on medium flame or till soft.
Peel,wash and crush a small Ginger piece and keep aside.
Peel and crush Garlic and keep aside.
Peel,wash and finely chop Onion and keep aside.
Chop Kasuri methi and keep aside.
Method:-
Heat Butter and Oil in a pan and splutter Cumin seeds and saute well.
Add Curry leaves, finely chopped Onion and required Salt and saute well till Onion pieces become translucent.
Add crushed Ginger and Garlic and saute well till the raw smell of the Garlic goes off.
Add Green chilly sauce and Tomato sauce and mix well.
Add Coriander Powder, Red chilly powder, Turmeric powder and Garam Masala powder and mix well.
Add the cooked Kidney beans and little water and stir well and boil for 2 minutes.
The curry will thicken Add water to adjust the desired consistency.
Add finely chopped Kasuri methi and mix well. Switch of the flame.
