Polya Puddi is a very tasty and spicy Chutney Powder served with Idli, Dosa etc. along with Coconut oil.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Polya Puddi / Dosa Podi / Chutney Powder.
Ingredients:-
Urad dal. -2tbsp
Chana dal. -2tbsp
Red chillies. -5 or 8
Black Pepper. -1tsp
Hing powder. -1tsp
Salt. -to taste
Instructions:-
In a pan dry roast Urad dal, Red chillies and Black Pepper.Saute well till Urad dal changes to light brown colour. Keep aside.
In the same pan add Chana dal and dry roast seperately until golden colour and keep aside.
When cooled grind all the dry roasted ingredients along with Hing powder and Salt to a fine powder. Allow the ground powder to cool in room temperature.
Polya Puddi/ Dosa Podi / Chutney Powder is ready to serve with Dosa, Idli etc.
Store the ground Chutney Powder in a clean and dry glass bottle.
While serving the Chutney Powder add little Coconut oil over it and mix well.
