SWEET MOMOS


Sweet Momos are steamed Rice dumplings filled with Coconut Jaggery mixture.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare sweet Momos.

Ingredients:-

Rice flour.           -1cup
Grated Coconut. -1cup
Jaggery.               - 3/4 cup grated
Cardamom pods. - 4 crushed
Salt.                      - a pinch
Oil.                        -1tsp
Water.                    - 1cup



Instructions:-


Grate Coconut and Jaggery.Keep aside. 


Method:-

In a mixing bowl mix the freshly grated Coconut with grated Jaggery.Add the crushed Cardamom powder and mix all the ingredients together to make a stuffing.Keep aside.

In a pan boil1cup of water. Add 1tsp oil and a pinch of salt into the boiling water and stir well. Add the Rice flour into the boiling water and stir continuously without forming lumps.Switch off the flame. Cover with a lid and keep aside for 2 minutes.

Apply little oil on your palm and knead the Rice dough while it is still hot.

Divide the Rice dough into equal portions and make equal small balls of Rice dough.

Keep a dough ball on your palm and flatten it with your fingers.

Place 1tsp Coconut Jaggery mixture in the centre of the flatten dough and bring all the edges together and join the ends and make a Momo shape.

Place the Momos carefully in a steamer and steam cook for 10 minutes or till steamed well.

Sweet Momos are ready to serve with Ghee.
