Tomato Curd Curry.


Tomato Curd Curry is a very tasty and delicious coconut based curd curry made with tomatoes and is served as a side dish with rice.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Tomato Curd Curry.

Ingredients:-

Tomato. -3
Curd.     -1cup
Salt.       -to taste

For grinding the Coconut Masala paste:-

Grated Coconut.        -1cup
Green chillies.           -3
Cumin seeds( Jeera). -1/4tsp
Turmeric powder.      -1/4tsp

For Seasoning:-

Coconut oil/ oil.  -1tsp
Fenugreek seeds. -1/4tsp
Dry Red chillies.  - 2 broken into halves.
Curry leaves.        -1spring

Instructions:-

Wash and chop Tomatoes into 4 pieces and keep aside.

Whisk the Curd adding 1cup of water and keep aside.

Grind the grated Coconut, Green chillies, Cumin seeds (Jeera) and Turmeric powder to a smooth paste and keep aside.

Method:-

1. In a cooking vessel add the chopped Tomato pieces and 1cup of water. Boil and cook the chopped Tomatoes till soft.

2. Add the whisked Curd and mix with the cooked Tomato pieces in the cooking vessel.

3. Add ground Coconut Masala paste and mix with the whisked Curd and the cooked Tomato pieces in the cooking vessel.

4. Add required Salt and mix with the curry in the cooking vessel. 

5. Boil thTomato Curd Curry for a minute and switch of the flame.

6. Heat Coconut oil or any Cooking oil in a small pan for seasoning and splutter Mustard seeds and saute well.Add Fenugreek seeds (Methi seeds) and fry well.Add dry Red chillies and Curry leaves.Saute well and fry in oil.Switch off the flame.

7. Pour the above seasoning into the Tomato Curd Curry in the cooking vessel.

8. A very tasty and delicious Tomato Curd Curry is ready to serve with Rice.
