Drumstick leaves are called Masinga Palle and the dosa prepared with Drumstick leaves is called Mashinga Palle Polo in Konkani. Drumstick leaves are rich in Vitamin, Iron, Calcium and have many nutritional benefits and are good for health.Very tasty and delicious Kochi GSB konkani style Mashinga Palle Polo / Dumstick Leaves Dosa can be served as a breakfast or evening dish with hot tea or coffee.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Mashinga Palle Polo / Drumstick Leaves Dosa.
Ingredients:-
Drumstick leaves. -2cup chopped
Hing powder. -1tsp
Salt. -to taste
For grinding the dosa batter:-
Raw Rice. -1cup
Coconut grated. -1/2 of a medium Coconut
Dry Red chillies . - 6
Turmeric powder. -1/4 tsp
Tamarind. - a small marble size
Coconut oil /Oil. - for roasting the dosa
Instructions:-
Take a bunch of fresh Drumstic leaves.
Clean and remove the branches and small twigs of the Drumstick leaves.Soak and wash them in water to remove the dust and keep them in a colander to drain water completely.Finely chop the Drumstick leaves and keep aside.
Wash and soak Raw Rice in water for 2 hours and keep aside.
Grind the grated Coconut along with dry Red chillies,Turmeric powder and Tamarind to a smooth paste.Then add the soaked Rice and again grind to a smooth but liitle coarse and thick batter adding very little water.Transfer the ground batter to a vessel and add required Salt, 1tsp Hing powder and mix well.No need to ferment the batter.
Add chopped Drumstick Leaves into the ground batter and mix well.Add little water if needed.The consistency of the dosa batter should be not too thick and not too thin.
Method:-
Heat a dosa tawa on medium flame.Apply little oil on the hot tawa and pour a ladle full of batter on the hot tawa and spread the batter to make a thin or thick dosa as per your choice.[Thick dosa will take more time to cook]
Pour little oil on all sides.Cover and cook the dosa till golden brown on low flame.
Flip the dosa with a flat spatula and cook the other side of the dosa on low flame till crispy.
Transfer the well roasted Drumstick leaves dosa to a serving plate.
Repeat the process to make another dosa with the remaing batter.
