Triangle Chapathi also known as Triangle Paratha is called Tuppa Ronti in Konkani.Tuppa Ronti / Triangle Paratha is a layered paratha in triangular shape made with wheat flour.Ghee is called Toop in Konkani.Ghee is applied on each layer when folding to make the chapathi to a triangle shape.So the Triangle Chapathi is called Tuppa Ronti. Triangle Chapathi /Tuppa Ronti is served with Potato Curry.Or sprinkle little Sugar over the roasted Triangle Chapathi /Tuppa Ronti and serve along with a cup of hot milk or tea.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Triangle Chapathi / Tuppa Ronti.
Ingredients:-
Wheat flour. -3 cup
Boiled hot water. -1 and 1/2 cup
Salt. -to taste
Ghee. -1tbsp + 3tsp

Wheat flour. -3 cup
Boiled hot water. -1 and 1/2 cup

Instructions:-
Boil 1 and 1/2 cup of water in a small vessel.
In a mixing bowl add Wheat flour, Salt and 1tbsp of Ghee and mix well.
Add boiled hot water little by little into the Wheat flour + Salt + Ghee mixture in the mixing bowl and mix with a spatula. Keep aside the Wheat flour mixture to cool a bit.
Knead the flour with your hands to make a soft dough.
Apply 1tsp Ghee on the soft wheat dough and knead again.Chop the soft dough into equal small lemon size balls.
Keep a lemon size dough ball on a chapathi board and roll the dough ball into thin circle shape chapathi with a roller.
Apply little Ghee evenly all over the circle shape chapathi with a brush or with your fingers.
Then fold the circle shape chapathi to a semi circle shape. Apply little Ghee evenly all over the semi circle shape chapathi.
Then fold the semi circle chapathi again to form a triangle shape.
Sprinkle little Wheat flour over the triangle shape chapathi or dip the chapathi in little Wheat flour.
With a rolling pin gently roll on the edges and over the triangle shape chapathi
Method:-
Heat a non stick tawa and place the triangle shape chapathi over the tawa.
Press the chapathi with a spatula or with a cloth towel.Chapathi starts to puff up and brown spots starts to appear.
Flip the triangle shape chapathi to roast the other side.
When brown spots appear on both sides remove the chapathi from tawa.
Transfer the roasted Tuppa Ronti / Triangle Chapathi to a serving plate.
Repeat the process of making Tuppa Ronti /Triangle Chapathi with the remaining dough ball.
Triangle Chapathi / Tuppa Ronti is ready to serve with spicy Potato Curry.
