Coconut Dosa is a Konkani style delicious breakfast dish made with freshly grated coconut, idli rice, cumin seeds, sugar and salt. A simple and easy to make Coconut Dosa recipe and step by step method with photos.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Coconut Dosa.
Ingredients:-
Idli Rice. -2 cup
Freshly grated Coconut. - 1 cup
Cumin seeds. -1tsp
Sugar. -1tsp
Salt. - to taste
Instructions:-
1. Freshly grate Coconut (1 cup) and keep aside.
2. Soak Idli Rice in water for 6 hours.Drain water and grind the soaked Idli Rice along with freshly grated Coconut to a smooth paste.
Method:-
1. Transfer the ground Coconut dosa batter to a vessel.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Coconut Dosa.
Ingredients:-
Idli Rice. -2 cup
Freshly grated Coconut. - 1 cup

Sugar. -1tsp
Salt. - to taste
Instructions:-
1. Freshly grate Coconut (1 cup) and keep aside.
2. Soak Idli Rice in water for 6 hours.Drain water and grind the soaked Idli Rice along with freshly grated Coconut to a smooth paste.
Method:-
1. Transfer the ground Coconut dosa batter to a vessel.
2. Add 3/4 cup of water to the ground Coconut dosa batter in the vessel. Add Cumin seeds, 3/4 tsp Salt and 1tsp Sugar into the batter and make the dosa batter to a little thinner batter than the regular dosa batter.
5. Immediately spread the batter with the back of the spatula and make a little thicker dosa. Holes will appear here and there on the dosa.
6. Cook dosa till the base of the dosa is roasted well.
7. Turn the dosa with a flat spatula to cook the other side.
8. When both sides are cooked well transfer the roasted dosa from hot tawa with the flat spatula to a serving plate. Make similar dosas with the remaining batter.
A tasty breakfast dish, Coconut dosa is ready to serve with Jaggery Coconut mixture or with chutney.
Note:-
Left over Coconut Dosa batter can be refrigerated for further use.
