Robusta Banana Halwa


Banana Halwa made from ripe Robusta bananas.Robusta Banana Halwa recipe is explained with step by step method and photos.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Banana Halwa.

Ingredients:-

Ripe Robusta Banana. - 4
Sugar.                          -1cup
Cashew nuts.               - 6 or 8
Cardamom.                  -4
Ghee.                            -3tbsp

Instructions:-

1). Take 4 ripe Robusta Bananas.
2). Peel the skin and chop the Banana into slices.Grind the Banana slices to a fine paste. Keep aside.

3). Take 1cup of Sugar and keep aside.

4). Broke the Cashew nuts into small pieces and keep aside.

5). Peel and crush Cardamom and keep aside.


Method:-

1). Pour the ground Banana paste to a wide bottom steel or non stick Kadai.


2). Add 1tbsp Ghee into the Kadai and cook the ground Banana paste on medium flame.

3).Stir the Banana paste with a spoon and cook for 3 minutes.

4). Add Sugar into the Kadai and mix well with the cooked Banana paste.

5).Keep on stirring the Banana Sugar mixture and cook on medium flame.
6). Add 1tbsp Ghee into the Kadai and stir the mixture well without sticking to the bottom.

7). Add broken Cashew nut pieces into the Kadai. Boil and cook well.

8). Stir the mixture continuously without sticking to the bottom of the kadai till it become thick.

9).When the Banana Sugar mixture becomes slightly thick add1tb sp Ghee into the kadai and stir well.

10). Stir well and cook until the Banana Sugar mixture turns to brown in colour.

11). Add the crushed Cardamom powder into the kadai and mix well. Switch off the flame.

12). Grease a steel plate evenly with little Ghee.Transfer the Robusta Banana Halwa to the greased plate and spread the Halwa evenly and flattened the top of the Halwa with the back of a greased spoon.

  When cooled Robusta Banana Halwa is ready to serve.
