Soya Chunks Kebab


Soya Chunks Kebab is a delicious evening snack that can be served with tomato ketchup or can be served as patties with bun.Soya Chunks Kebab recipe is explained with step by step method and photos.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Soya Chunks Kebab.

Ingredients:-

Soya Chunks.     - 1/2 cup
Green chilly.       -2
Garlic.                 - 4
Capsicum.           -2 tbsp chopped
Cabbage.             -2 tbsp chopped
Onion.                  -1 finely chopped
Coriander leaves. -1 tbsp finely chopped
Maida.                  -2tbsp
Cumin seeds.        -1tsp
Turmeric powder. -1/4tsp
Chilly powder.      -1/2tsp
Garam masala.      -1 and 1/2 tsp
Salt.                       - to taste
Oil.                        - for shallow frying

Instructions:-

1). In a vessel boil sufficient water and add soya chunks into the boiling water. Switch off the flame and keep the chunks in boiling water for 10 minutes.Drain the boiled water and squeeze the soya chunks and remove the water completely and keep aside.


2). Grind chopped green chiilies, garlic, cumin seeds and squeezed soya chunks to a coarse mixture.


3). In a mixing bowl add chopped onion, chopped capsicum and chopped cabbage.


4). Add the coarsely ground mixture into the mixing bowl.


5). Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder and garam masala powder into the mixing bowl.

6). Add required salt into the mixing bowl.

7). Add finely chopped coriander leaves into the mixing bowl.

8). Mix together all the ingredients in the mixing bowl using your hands.

9). Add maida (all purpose flour) into the mixing bowl.

10). Combine all the ingredients together.Take a small portion of the mixture and make it a small ball shape and gently pat on it and flatten it.Make similar patties with the remaining mixture and transfer to a plate and refrigerate it for 10 minutes.

11). Heat oil in a pan on high flame for shallow frying.

12). When the oil is hot lower the flame to medium heat and drop the kebabs in hot oil. Shallow fry them in batches until golden brown on both sides.

13). When done remove from hot oil and transfer to a serving plate.

14). Soya Chunks Kebab is ready to serve as patties with home made buns or with tomato ketchup.
