Orange Velvet Cake


Orange velvet cake is a easy to make cake recipe and can be served as a tea time cake. Orange velvet cake recipe is explained with method and photos.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Orange Velvet Cake.

Ingredients:-

All purpose flour. -1 and 3/4 cup
Sugar.                   -3/4 cup
Egg.                      -3
Vanilla essence.    -1tsp
Orange colour.      -1/4tsp
Baking powder.     -1and 1/2tsp
Baking soda.         -1/4tsp
Hot water.             -1/2cup
Oil.                        -1/2 cup

Instructions:-

1). Sieve all purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda together and keep aside.

2). Mix 1/4 tsp orange colour in hot water and keep aside orange colour hot water mixture.

3). Powder sugar and keep aside.

4). Grease a baking pan with oil and spread little all purpose flour on it and keep aside.

Method:-

1). In a wide mixing bowl add egg, oil, powdered sugar, vanilla essence and orange colour hot water  mixture.Combine all the above ingredients using a hand mixer until the sugar dissolves completely.

2). Add the sieved all purpose flour mixture little by little into the mixing bowl and mix well with a spoon in one direction until everything is incorporated and no lumps are seen.

3). Pour the cake batter into the greased baking pan and gently tap to remove the air bubbles.


4). Pr-heat the oven at 180 degree Celcius for 10 minutes
.

5). Then open the oven and keep the baking pan inside the pre-heated oven  and close the oven.


6). Bake the cake batter at 180 degree Celcius for 35 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted comes out clean.


7). Remove the baking pan from oven and allow to cool the cake.


8). Transfer the cake to a plate upside down.

9). Spongy orange velvet cake is ready to decorate according to your choice.


9). Cut the spongy Orange Velvet Cake into desired shape and serve with tea.
