Brined Gooseberry is called Noncho Aavalo in Konkani.This konkani style recipe is smple and mouth watering. Brine Gooseberry is crushed with finely choped Green chilly roundels and Coconut oil.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare this mouth watering recipe.
Ingredients:-
Brine Goose berry. -4
Salt. -to taste
Green chillies. -2
Coconut oil - 1tsp
Hing powder. -1/2 tsp
Instructions:-
Clean and wash the brined Gooseberry and chop into small pieces and discard the seeds. Keep aside.
Wash and chop Green chillies into thin roundels and keep aside.
Grind the chopped brined Gooseberry pieces in a small Mixer grinder or you can crush them with your hands if they are soft.Keep aside.
Method :-
In a mixing bowl add the chopped Green chilly thin roundesl and crush with little Salt.
Add the ground or crushed Gooseberry into the mixing bowl and mix with the crushed Green chilly Salt mixture.
Add Hing powder and mix well with the crushed items.
Pour 1tsp Coconut oil over the Goose berry Green chilly Salt Mixture.
A mouth watering Noncho Aavalo Chirdillo is ready to serve as a side dish with Rice or Kanji(Rice gruels).
