TOMATO HUMMAN WITH HING [konkani recipe]




The following ingredients are needed to prepare this delicious Tomato Humman.

Ingredients:-

Tomato.                 - 4 medium size
Garlic .                   -4 crushed
Curry leaves.          -1 spring
Green chilly.           -2
Red chilly powder.  -1/2tsp
Turmeric powder.    -1/4 tsp
Hing powder.           -1tsp
Salt.                          -to taste
cooking oil.               -2tsp



Instructions:-

Peel and slightly crush Garlic cloves and keep aside.

Wash and half slit Green chillies lengthwise and keep aside.

Wash and finely chop Tomatoes and keep aside.



Method:-

Heat Cooking oil in a pan and  add cruhed Garlic and saute till the Garlic change into yellow colour.

Add Curry leaves and saute well  and fry for a second.

Add 2 half slit Green chillies and saute well.

Lower the flame and add Red chilly powder, Turmeric powder and saute well.

Add finely chopped Tomatoes and little water. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on medium flame till the Tomato becomes soft and mushy.

Add  required Salt and mix well.

Add tsp Hing powder and mix everything well.

A yummy Tomato Humman with Hing is ready to serve as a side dish with Rice, Dosa, or Idli.
