Dill Leaves Kootu Curry is a Coconut based Dill leaves Potato Gravy and is a very tasty side dish goes well with Rice, Chapathi, Phulkas etc.The following ingredients are needed to prepare Dill Leaves Kootu Curry.
Ingredients:-
Dill leaves. -a bunch
Raw Peanuts. -1/4 cup
Potato. -1
Tur dal. -1/4 cup
For Coconut paste:-
Coconut grated. -1/2 cup
Green chilly -1
Pepper corn. -1tsp
Whole Urad dal. -2tsp
Instructions:-
Clean the Dill leaves,chop the thick stems, wash and finely chop them and keep aside.
Peel,wash and chop Potato into medium square pieces and keep aside.
Wash Tur dal and pressure cook along with chopped Potato pieces, finely chopped Dill leaves, raw Peanuts and required water for 3 whistles or till cooked and keep aside.
Dry Roast Urad dal and Black pepper and grind along with grated Coconut and Green chilly to a fine paste and keep aside.
Method :-
Transfer the pressure cooked ingredients into a pan along with Water.
Add required Salt and mix well. Boil and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the ground Coconut paste and mix well with all the cooked ingredients in the pan.Boil well for few minutes and switch off the flame.
Pour the seasoning of Mustard seeds, broken Red chilly and Curry leaves in Coconut oil into the gravy and mix well.
A tasty Dill Leaves Potato Gravy/ Dill Leaves Kootu Curry is ready to serve with Rice, Phulkas or Chapathi.
