The following ingredients are needed to prepare Kelya Salli Elchikeri /Raw Banana Skin Curry
Ingredients-
Nendran Banana Skin. - of 2 raw Nendran Bananas
Green gram( Mugu). - 3/4 cup
Yam. - a small piece
Dry Mango piece (Ambya Sol). - a small piece
Green gram( Mugu). - 3/4 cup

For grinding the Coconut Masala Paste:-
Grated Coconut. -1cup
Dry Red Chillies. -5 or 6
Turmeric powder. -1/4tsp
For Seasoning:-
Coconut oil. -1tsp
Mustard seeds. -1/2tsp
Cumin seeds. -1/2tsp
Curry leaves. -1 spring.
For roasted Coconut gratings:-
Coconut oil. -1/2tsp
Coconut grating. -1/4 cup
Coconut grating. -1/4 cup
Instructions:-
1. Wash and soak Green gram (Mugu) for 6 hours or overnight and keep aside.
2. Chop both the ends of the raw Nendran Banana and take the raw Banana Skin with a knife and keep aside the raw Banana Skin on a plate.
5. Grind the grated Coconut, dry Red chillies and Turmeric Powder to a smooth paste without adding Water and keep aside.
6. In a pressure cooker add the soaked Green gram, chopped Raw Banana Skin and chopped Yam pieces adding required water for 2 whisles or till cooked and keep aside.
Method:-
1. In a cooking pan add the cooked Green gram, raw Banana Skin and Yam cubes and boil well.
2. Add Salt and dry Mango pieces and mix well. Boil for 2 minutes on low flame.
3. Add the ground Coconut Masala Paste and mix well.
4. Boil for 3 minutes on low flame and switch off the flame.
5. Heat 1tsp Coconut oil or Cooking oil in a pan for seasoning and splutter Mustard seeds and Cumin seeds and saute well. Add Curry leaves and fry well and switch off the flame.
5. Heat 1tsp Coconut oil or Cooking oil in a pan for seasoning and splutter Mustard seeds and Cumin seeds and saute well. Add Curry leaves and fry well and switch off the flame.
6. Add the above seasoning into the Curry in the cooking pan.
9.Transfer the Raw Banana Skin Curry to a serving bowl.
10. A tasty and delicious Kelya Salli Elchikeri / Raw Banana Skin Curry is ready to serve with Rice.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare the Kelya Salli Elchikeri / Raw Banana Skin Curry.
