Tamarind is called Chinchamb in Konkani.Chinchamb Chirdille is a very simple and tasty Tamarind gojju made with a mixture of Tamarind, Green chilly, Hing powder and Salt.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Chinchamb Chirdille.
Ingredients:-
Tamarind. -1 lemon size
Green chillies. - 4
Hing powder. -1/2tsp
Salt. -to taste.
For Seasoning:-
Coconut oil. -1tsp
Mustard seeds.-1/2tsp
Curry leaves. -1spring
Instructions:-
1. In a bowl soak the Tamarind in 1/4 cup of water for 10 minutes.Extract the Tamarind pulp and discard the residue.
2. Wash and finely chop the Green chillies and keep aside.
Method:-
1. In a mixing bowl add the finely chopped Green chillies and required Salt. Mash the finely chopped Green chillies and Salt thoroughly with your hands and keep aside.

2. Add the extracted Tamarind Pulp in the mixing bowl and mix with the mashed Green chilly Salt mixture.Add Hing powder into the mixing bowl and mix well.
3. Heat oil in a pan for seasoning and splutter Mustard seeds and saute well. Add Curry leaves and fry well and switch off the flame.
4. Pour the above seasoning into theTamarind gojju in the mixing bowl.
5. Transfer the Chinchamb Chirdelle /Tamarind gojju in a serving bowl.
A tasty and mouth watering Chinchamb Chirdille / Tamarind Gojju is ready to serve as a side dish with Rice.
