Potato Chakli is a deep fried tea time snack made using Rice flour and Potato.

Ingredients:-
Rice flour. -2cup
Potato. -1big
Cumin seeds.-1tsp
Hing powder -1/4tsp
Butter. -2tbsp or 1tbsp hot oil
Salt. -to taste
Coconut oil. - for deep frying
Instructions:-
Wash and boil the Potato with required water till soft. Peel the skin and mash the boiled Potato with a masher till smooth without any lumps.Knead it to a smooth dough and keep aside.
In a wide mixing bowl add Rice flour, Cumin seeds, Hing powder, Salt and Butter. Mix well.
Add the mashed Potato paste and add required water little by little and mix with the Rice flour. Knead well to make a smooth and non sticky dough and keep aside for 15 minutes.
Method:-
Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium flame.
Grease the Chakli maker with little oil and put the star shaped chakli mould inside the Chakli maker.
Fill the Chakli maker with the prepared dough and tightly close wit its lid.
Press the Chakli mould in rounds and make spiral shaped Chaklis on a butter paper or plastic sheet.
Drop the prepared Chaklis into the hot oil and deep fry on medium flame till crisp and golden brown on all sides.
Flip and turn the Chaklis in the hot oil with a slotted spoon to cook on both sides.
When done remove the Chaklis from hot oil with the slotted spoon and transfer to a tissue paper to absorb the excess oil.
Potato Chakli is ready to serve with hot tea or coffee.
