Yard Long Beans Masala Stir Fry



Yard Long Beans Masala Stir Fry or Stir-Fried Chinese Long Beans is a very tasty and delicious side dish made with tender green long- podded Cowpeas also known as Green beans or Chinese long beans and goes well with rice.

The following ingredients are needed to prepare Yard Long Beans Masala Stir Fry.

Ingredients:-

Yard long beans.   -1 bunch
Onion.                   -2 medium size
Green chilly.          -1
Coriander powder. -1tsp
Red chilly powder. - 1tsp
Turmeric powder.   -1/4tsp
Salt.                        - to taste
Coconut oil.            -3tsp

Instructions:-

Wash and rinse the long yard beans in water a couple of times and chop into 1 inch lengthy pieces and keep aside.

Peel, wash and finely chop Onion and keep aside.

Method:-

Heat 3tsp Coconut oil in a pan on low flame and splutter Mustard seeds and saute well.

Add finely chopped Onion and saute well till the Onion pieces become translucent and little brown in colour.

Add Red chilly powder, Coriander powder, Turmeric powder and saute well on low flame.

Add chopped Yard long beans and required Salt and mix well. Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low flame for 5 minutes till the Yard long beans become soft. Stir in between. Saute well and switch off the flame.

Transfer the stir fry to a serving plate.

A very tasty Yard Long Beans Masala Stir Fry is ready to serve hot as a side dish with rice.
