Instant toor dal dosa is a spicy toor dal dosa and is a healthy breakfast dish made without fermenting the ground dosa batter. Toor dal dosa can be served with coconut chutney or pickle.Instant Toor dal Dosa recipe is given below with step by step method and photos.
The following ingredients are needed to prepare Instant Toor dal Dosa.
Ingredients:-
Toor dal. -1/4 cup
Urad dal. -1/4 cup
Raw rice / Idli rice. -2 cup
Methi seeds. -1/2 tsp
Dry red chillies. -8
Green chillies. -2
Pepper corn. -1/4 tsp
Asafoetida. -1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder. -1/4 tsp
Water. -as required
Salt. -to taste
Oil. -as required
Method:-
1). Wash and soak rice, and methi seeds together in a vessel, urad dal and toor dal in seperate vessels for 5 hours.
2). Grind the soaked toor dal, urad dal, rice and methi seeds along with green chillies, dry red chillies, pepper corn, asafoetida and turmeric powder to a smooth paste adding required amount of water.Transfer the ground batter to a bowl. Add required salt into the ground batter and mix well.The ground dosa batter does not require fermentation. Dosa batter is ready to make dosa.
3). Heat oil in a pan and add a ladle of ground batter on hot tawa and spread it and make thin dosa.Once roasted fold the dosa to one side and transfer to a plate.Repeat the same process and make instant toor dal dosa with the remaining dosa batter and transfer to a serving plate.
